MSM to Offer Summer School June 7 - 27
Mount St. Mary Academy Summer School will be held Thursday, June 7, through Wednesday, June 27. Sessions will begin at 7:45 A.M. and end at 12:55 P.M., offering students an opportunity to enroll in two courses. Courses will include high school classes in English, Math and Science for those who need to earn a ½ credit for a deficiency in these courses. An enrichment course for incoming freshmen will also be offered (Study Skills for Success in High School). Tuition is $225 per course.
Additional courses are available online through Mercy Learning Online, which offers students a ½ credit for a deficiency in World Geography or American Government, and several enrichment courses.

Eleven from MSM Selected for Arkansas Governor’s School
This year, 11 students from Mount St. Mary Academy have been selected to attend the 2007 Arkansas Governor’s School. One student has also been selected as an alternate.
Those selected are:
Katie Blubaugh, daughter of Danna and Vince Blubaugh, accepted in Social Science
Becca Bona, daughter of Melinda and Robert Bona, accepted in Choral Music
Danielle Cole, daughter of Sonia and Dwight Ray, accepted in Math
Jee-Young Kim, daughter of Myung-Ja Lee and Hyun-Su Kim of South Korea, accepted in Math
Rebecca Krupsaw, daughter of Jill and Jeff Krupsaw, accepted in Visual Arts
Lauren Lavender, daughter of Darla and Dr. Robert Lavender, accepted in Natural Science
Marie Morris, daughter of Drs. Maria and Mohy Morris, accepted in Natural Science
Renee Ronquillo, daughter of Lolita and Romulo Ronquillo, accepted in English/Language Arts
Catherine Schraegle, daughter of Terri and Ben Schraegle, accepted in English/Language Arts
Shavonda Wilson, daughter of Eula and Glenn Wilson, accepted in Natural Science
Nanette Zobkov, daughter of Grace and Stan Zobkov, accepted in English/Language Arts
Selected as an alternate is:
Rachel Lee, daughter of Theresa and Dennis Lee, accepted in Natural Science.
Selection for Governor’s School is based on a combination of ability and interest, and is highly competitive. The six-week intensive program is in its 28th year.
