Carson Vogelpohl ’26 is among the 20 high school seniors selected to this year’s esteemed Arkansas Times Academic All-Star team. Chosen from nearly 160 applicants across the state, the latest roster – the 32nd group the publication has honored – showcases some of Arkansas’ most exemplary members from the Class of 2026. It represents the only statewide effort to acknowledge students for their academic achievements, humanitarian efforts and other extracurricular activities.
Currently tied for first in her class, Carson is an AP Scholar with Distinction and an AP Capstone Diploma candidate enrolled in six AP courses at MSM this year. She serves as president of National Honor Society and co-president of Latin Club, competes on the varsity basketball and soccer teams, and is active in many other organizations on campus, including Honor Council, Belle Ambassadors, Mu Alpha Theta, and Beta Club. Additionally, Carson was named a National Merit Finalist this spring and was honored as an Arkansas Women’s Hall of Fame Girl of Distinction in 2024.
Carson plans to pursue a degree in neuroscience in order to prepare for a career in a STEM-related field. She has been accepted to nearly 20 colleges, including Boston University, Emory University, Georgetown University, the University of Notre Dame, the University of Richmond, the University of Virginia, and Washington University in St. Louis.
