“I am excited to get to work with the newly elected members of the Student Council,” said Allison Caldarera, MSM student services coordinator and Student Council sponsor. “I love seeing their raw ideas start to take shape. It is such an honor to help them build the framework that turns that ambition into actual impact.”
Next year’s student body president echoed Mrs. Caldarera’s excitement. “I couldn’t be any more excited for next school year,” Emerson exclaimed. “This is truly a dream of mine come true, and I hope to continue on the excellent leadership Mount has had over the years. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such an amazing group of elected leaders who will represent our student body. As a Student Council, we are committed to serving our school with love, kindness and dedication, to help make every student feel supported and respected. I am so excited for what’s ahead and to help make Mount even more amazing!”
As the elected representatives of the student body, Student Council members traditionally help coordinate and promote school events while also overseeing the execution of class projects to assist in furthering the mission of Mount St. Mary. The group coordinates the school’s large-scale canned food drive, Robin Hood Days, each fall. Its huge success year after year is a testament to Student Council’s leadership, hard work and enthusiasm.
Officers for the freshman class will be elected later this fall.
