Mount St. Mary Academy is proud to announce that Olivia Kersey ’28 has been accepted into the FBI National Academy Associates Youth Leadership Program (YLP), which will take place July 9-17 at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia. Only 62 students are selected annually from the United States and around the world to participate in the highly competitive program.
The YLP is designed for rising high school sophomores and juniors who demonstrate exceptional academic performance, high levels of fitness, and dedication to their community. The eight-day immersive advanced leadership program is designed to build skills, resilience, and a commitment to service and social responsibility among young leaders. Participants engage in intensive coursework and real-world exercises led by a team of law enforcement professionals from across the country.
“I applied to the Youth Leadership Program to challenge myself and to develop the high-level leadership skills necessary to serve my community,” Olivia said. “Finding out I was selected was a really great moment. I’m excited to meet new people from across the country and to share this experience with them.”
