Preparation for college and adult life isn’t just found between the covers of a book. It’s also found in the heart of a caring teacher, in the smile of a friendly classmate, and in the eyes of an encouraging school community.
Take a look at Mount St. Mary and you, too, will discover what we have known for more than 160 years — that young women excel personally and academically in an all-girls environment.
Thank you to all the hard-working volunteers who rolled up their sleeves and grabbed a shovel for the most recent green space added to the Mount St. Mary campus - The Jennifer Boccarossa ’01 Memorial Garden. The Class of 2014 graciously donated funds from their senior class gift to honor the memory of our beloved music instructor and the vibrancy and light shown to all that she encountered. During the month of June, volunteers including members of the Dads' Club, students, faculty and alumnae cleared the space near the front entrance of Mount St. Mary and planted the trees, shrubs and grasses that will accompany benches and a memorial fountain for students to enjoy when school begins in August. Thank you, especially, to Lauren Clark (MSM parent) and the campus beautification committee, and to all the volunteers and donors who have shared their gifts of time and treasure for the memorial garden in support of the Boccarossa family.
