Preparation for college and adult life isn’t just found between the covers of a book. It’s also found in the heart of a caring teacher, in the smile of a friendly classmate, and in the eyes of an encouraging school community.
Take a look at Mount St. Mary and you, too, will discover what we have known for more than 160 years — that young women excel personally and academically in an all-girls environment.

Competing Friday, May 17th at the 2013 National High School Physical Fitness Championship in San Diego, Mount St. Mary Academy students won the women's national title for the second year in a row since the girls' team joined Catholic High School's team last year.
Congratulations to the JROTC girls' team -- Rachel Fritz '14, Emma O'Donnell '14, Rachel Parker '15, Katherine Penney '14, Melissa Sampson '14 and Molly Sampson '14 -- who made it through the grueling morning practices and competitions leading up to the National Championship.
The girls' team won the second place overall at the Jesuit High School competition in February, coming in second only to the Catholic High boy's team and outperforming all other male and female teams at the competition. They won first place women's team in the state competition at CHS on April 20th.
The competition consists of five events -- sit-ups, push-ups, bar hang in pull-up position, standing long jump and 300-yd shuttle run. All are timed with rests given between each event.
